About Me

After twelve years in the Veterinary industry, and my own first-hand experience with the beauty and efficacy of Chinese medicine, I decided a shift in careers was the right path for my future. Using my vast clinical experience in both Western and Eastern medicine, along with my understanding of herbal medicine, dietetics, anatomy and physiology, I aim to support the body’s innate healing processes to relieve symptoms and restore balance.

I am a nationally accredited practitioner of acupuncture and doctor of traditional Chinese medicine (BHSc Acupuncture), a registered member of the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). As a registered practitioner, my treatments are eligible for claim rebates with all health funds and private insurers.

A modern approach

During treatments I enjoy applying a combination of traditional and modern techniques and diagnostic methods to seek and address the root cause of disease; each treatment is specifically tailored to your own personal needs and health goals. I have a strong focus on patient education and believe healthcare should be informative, transparent and accessible.

My passion

My areas of interest include women's and men’s reproductive health and fertility (IUI, IVF & ART), pregnancy and postpartum support, injury management and chronic pain, sports and orthopaedic acupuncture, stress management, sleep disorders, emotional health and maintenance of our general well-being.

A word from Dr Ellen:

“There is no time like the present to start your own healing journey. To live free of illness, pain and self-doubt is to live life Freely. Through Chinese medicine, I aim to address not only your physical symptoms but help restore your sense of self that may have become lost along the way.”
